Questions received for today's meeting: 1. Could you address how schools are paying their contracted providers like physical therapists? If districts are billing as though school were in session, even though services aren’t what they would be of course, do they also bill for those related services? Do contracted therapist such as physical and speech therapy bill as though school were in session as well or do they only bill for actuals? And if so, is it just for those on the schools pay roll or is it also for contracted providers? THANK YOU!!!

We have a question about providing virtual teaching instruction for our SPPS, currently we are providing 2 hours and we would like to increase it to 3 hours per day per student starting Wednesday. We also want to provide social work and BCBA services tele for students.I would assume that 3 hours would be enough to count as a full day and to be able to charge the districts the full daily rate, take attendance and count as school days.We want to follow the IEP as best we can for all our students

Is accessing a parent's cell phone minutes or Track Phone minutes for distance teletherapy considered FAPE? The phone minutes will be used up quickly.

knowing that schools are billing as though still in session... how are contacted related service providers, PT, OT, SLP to bill us during this time? Should those contracted providers bill as though they were providing services at the frequency in the IEP as well or do they bill us for actuals?

In RSU 9 we are establishing “specialized alternative learning plans” and documenting services via Google Sheets with tabs (sheets) used to document and monitor services. Happy to share the “student record” sheet but it’s fairly straightforward. All plans are generated based upon student goals, activities and student access.

Hi Chris, we were told we need to have that consent in order to send documents electroncially. We are seeking consent with a document or statement acceptance through email.

Question regarding #13 FAQ...'Mark the student absent? Are we expecting regular education to take attendance? How do we have an IEP meeting if we can't get the parent to respond in the first place. Have an IEP without the parent to say you cant get in touch with the parent?

Please advise…Can we obtain parent agreement to alternative learning/remote delivery via phone call or video conference and document in WN vs formal (remote) IEP meeting and amending IEP. Is that sufficient for most? This may have been answered previously…

When parents use track phones and therapists call them for teletherapy they will run out of minutes. This would be a cost for parents. It is not FAPE. Any advice?

I am writing this in any written notices we do. During this period of school/classroom closures due to the COVID-19 RSU 71 is currently providing remote school days for all students.  Students with IEP's will also receive remote learning opportunities to enable your child to have equal assess to their educational program.  Services, as written on your child's IEP, will resume in full when RSU 71 schools buildings open and resume typical school days for all students."
