Just to Heather’s question, 35-A MRS § 9204-A(1) states “Criteria established by the authority to define unserved and underserved areas must include the percentage of households with access to broadband service within a municipality or other appropriate geographic area. The authority shall use these criteria to determine those areas of the State that are unserved or underserved” so not sure if you can use a different metric for unserved areas

Stephenie Mac, Assistant Director

Vote to confirm the use a broadband service level of 50/10mpbs to designate unserved areas and direct staff to determine the boundaries of unserved areas ahead of the June meeting if possible.
